What kind of coffee beans are suitable for making AeroPress?

In order to avoid the sour taste or bland taste of latte, it is recommended that you give priority to categories marked with medium and dark roasts, such as Front Street Bird of Paradise, Front Street Queen's Manor, Front Street Golden Mandheling, and Front Street Whelan, etc.; however, If you are sensitive to bitter tastes, we recommend fruit-acid-type coffees with a sense of fermentation. Coffees such as Front Street Cicada, Front Street Strawberry Candy, and Front Street Sunflower Warm Sun Blend combine candied fruits, fermented wine aromas, and a certain caramelized flavor, so they go better with milk.

How to make AeroPress Latte

Okay, without further ado, let Front Street share how to use the AeroPress to make a cup of high-concentration coffee! The extraction parameters are as follows:

Working with Beans: Front Street Columbia Whelan
Amount of powder used: 20g
Powder to water ratio: 1:3 (because coffee powder will absorb a certain amount of water, Front Street found the most suitable powder to water ratio of 1:3 after many experiments)
Grinding scale: Italian grinding (flour-like)
Extraction water temperature: 94°C
Extraction method: back pressure
Extraction time: one minute
So first, let's assemble this "syringe" and then turn it upside down.

Then add coffee powder and hot water in sequence.

Stir for 10 turns and wait for one minute.

When the time is up, we close the lid and take out a prepared cup and invert it on top. Then, hold the Aeropress and cup tightly and turn them over.

Finally, we exert a certain amount of force on the piston and slowly press it down.

When it is completely pressed to the bottom, the extraction is complete! As you can see, although this cup of coffee is small, it is very dark in color, which means it has a fairly high concentration! Take a small bite and hey! It smells bad!

So, what everyone is most concerned about Front Street now is the effect of using it to make latte. Very good. Front Street immediately sent a portion of milk foam to make. The parameters are as follows:

AeroPress Espresso: 40ml
Milk foam: 200ml
Then I got a cup of milk coffee, which looked pretty good!

But Front Street took a sip and found that, emmm... it is a little light, but it also has a lot of aromas of chocolate, cream and nuts. Although the flavor concentration is not as strong as that of the coffee machine, it does not have a negative aftertaste, and it has both coffee and milk aroma throughout. We all think it is worth recommending.

Is the AeroPress worth recommending

The AeroPress combines the immersion extraction method of a French press, the paper filtration of Pour over(V60) coffee, and the rapid, pressure extraction principle of espresso. So in theory, the coffee brewed by Aeropress can combine the richness of Italian coffee, the purity of Pour over(V60) coffee, and the smooth taste of French press. In fact, the "playability" of the Aeropress is not inferior to that of the hand press, and the reason why relatively few people play it is not that the Aeropress is more expensive and complicated, but that there are too many variables and it is relatively difficult to get started. In other words, the Aeropress may be "difficult to learn", but it is not "difficult to master" at all.
