With the entry of direct-operated stores of international freshly ground coffee brands such as Starbucks and Costa in China, a coffee craze has arisen in the country. Many businesses continue to make a fuss about coffee drinks. In addition to freshly ground coffee with higher consumption costs, civilian instant coffee and coffee drinks are also very popular. So how many types of mainstream coffee drinks are there now? How does it taste? Let me give you a brief introduction below.
Americano

Americano coffee is a type of black coffee, consisting of espresso + water, with no other additives added. During World War II, coffee became very popular in the U.S. military. Americans were not used to the strong bitter taste of espresso, so they diluted the coffee liquid with water to achieve a concentration acceptable to them. Later, in the cafes opened by Italians in the United States, they also "do as the Romans do" and introduced "watered down coffee" based on espresso. This coffee has become very popular since then.
There is no fixed ratio for Americano coffee. Each store will have its own production standards in order to present the flavor and taste of the coffee. According to the ratio of 1:6 prepared by Front Street's many experiments, 40 grams of coffee liquid is poured into 240 grams of 88°C hot water, and the hot American coffee is completed. If iced Americano is produced, the hot water will be replaced with 120 grams of ice cubes and 120 grams of room temperature water. The taste will be best before the ice cubes melt. The iced American style on Front Street Street has a rich whiskey aroma, the sour and sweet berries, refreshing and soothing, so it is especially popular in the hot Guangzhou store; the hot American style highlights the richness of roasted nuts and chocolate, the sour and sweet fermented tropical fruits, and the aftertaste is vanilla.

Latte
About 60% of the coffee drinks on the market are under the banner of latte. The most important reason is that latte is a coffee drink that is relatively easy for Chinese people to accept. Because latte is based on sweet milk and added with espresso, even Chinese consumers who are not used to drinking coffee can accept it.

The ingredients for latte coffee are very simple. They only require espresso and milk. There is also no fixed ratio, most of which range from 1:5 to 1:8. Front Street will use a ratio of 1:6, 40g of espresso liquid, and add 240g of milk. When making hot latte, Front Street will add espresso liquid to the preheated coffee cup, and then use an espresso machine to steam the milk. The temperature of the milk is best controlled at 55-65°C to form dense and moderately thick milk foam, which will then evenly blend with the coffee liquid. The final latte art is the icing on the cake. Front Street’s hot latte has the sweet aroma of liqueur-filled chocolate and is creamy and smooth. The iced latte on Front Street will first be filled with 75 grams of ice cubes + 25 ml of fresh milk, and then 40 grams of coffee liquid will be extracted and poured on the surface. Customers are reminded to stir thoroughly before drinking.
cappuccino
Cappuccino, like latte, is composed of only milk and coffee, with very fine and rich milk foam on top. In the early years of cappuccino, the ratio of espresso, milk, and milk foam was generally 1:1:1. However, if we follow this standard, the concentration of cappuccino will be very high, and the thickness of the milk foam will be very deep, making it difficult to drink the coffee. The biggest difference between cappuccino and latte is that the essence of cappuccino is that the delicate milk foam provides a full and delicate taste. The milk foam and espresso are blended and injected until the coffee volume reaches 11 points.

The cappuccino coffee produced by Front Street mainly guarantees the small cup size of 180ml, 11 points full, rich coffee flavor and dense and thick milk foam. That is, a double shot of espresso is used as the base, and 150ml of milk is whipped into thick milk foam and blended into it. The cappuccino on Front Street tastes rich in chocolate milk flavor, and the dense milk foam adds a lot of texture to the coffee.
Australian white coffee
Flat White coffee is also called "Australian White", "Furi White" or "Flat White". Flat White coffee is a new product created by Australians based on hot latte coffee by modifying the proportion parameters. There are two main differences.

The base used for white coffee is called Ristretto. Australians want to drink milk coffee with a stronger coffee flavor. They think that the back part of espresso will "dilute" the coffee flavor, so they only take the middle and front part of espresso and "limit" the back part, so it is called Ristretto. When we drink Flat White, it is not difficult to find that its cup size is smaller than that of hot latte. The amount of coffee liquid is reduced, and it is difficult to highlight the coffee flavor after adding the same amount of milk as a latte, so the proportion of hot milk is also reduced, and the hot milk with thin milk foam is evenly blended. Without the thick layer of milk foam, the coffee is generally flush with the rim of the cup, so it is called "Flat White", also translated as "flat white". Flat means "flat", and white refers to white coffee with milk added.
The Flat White coffee produced by Front Street is usually 20g of coffee powder and about 30g of double ristretto, poured into a 200ml cup as the base. The ratio of milk is 1:5, that is, 150ml of hot milk. The whipped milk foam should be as thin as possible to highlight the rich taste of the coffee. The flat white produced at the front street store not only has the aroma of whiskey, cream, and vanilla, but also has the sour and sweet taste of berries, showing a full coffee aroma.

mocha coffee
In addition to the above-mentioned "basic" espresso coffees that only add water and milk, you can also add syrups of different flavors. For example, the Mocha coffee named after Mocha, the place where coffee is famous, is a very popular one. The classic mocha coffee flavor has a fragrant dark cocoa aroma. To highlight this feature, Italian mocha coffee adds chocolate sauce/chocolate powder/chunks. When Front Street makes hot mocha coffee, they add 15g of chocolate sauce to the espresso, stir it thoroughly, then pour the whipped hot milk into the fusion latte art, and finally sprinkle a layer of cocoa powder on the surface to add chocolate aroma and taste. Iced mocha is made by adding 15g of chocolate sauce to the coffee concentrate of iced latte.

hand brewed coffee
To make Pour over(V60) coffee, the coffee beans are first ground into powder, and then hot water is evenly poured into the kettle to contact the powder layer and "dissolve" the substances in the coffee. In fact, you use a filter cup with filter paper or other tools to filter the coffee grounds and prevent them from entering the lower pot together, so that you can get a clear cup of black coffee. There are many types of beans suitable for Pour over(V60) coffee. Beans of different varieties, origins, and processing methods. As the brewer understands and adjusts the parameters, the flavor and taste characteristics of the coffee will change more or less, and the taster can feel the purest aroma of the coffee. For example, the dozens of single-origin coffee beans on the Front Street Bean List can be extracted by hand brewing.
