Latte is derived from the transliteration of Italian Latte. Latte coffee refers to coffee that is mixed with a certain proportion of milk in espresso. It is a type of fancy coffee.
The original latte originated in Vienna, the capital of music. Viennese people have been drinking coffee since the 17th century. At that time, the Turkish army failed to attack Vienna and dropped 500 bags of coffee beans during their panic retreat. This batch of coffee beans became the raw material of Vienna's first cafe (Blue Bottle). In order to cater to European tastes, coffee shop owners filtered the coffee grounds and added a large amount of milk to make the bitter black coffee smooth and sweet. The taste fascinated the Viennese people, and milk coffee became popular all over the world.

The raw materials of latte are simple, only espresso and milk. There is no fixed ratio, most of which range from 1:5 to 1:8. Front Street will use a ratio of 1:6, 40g of espresso liquid, and add 240g of milk.
Espresso, also called Espresso, uses steam pressure to pass boiling hot water through coffee powder to brew a small portion of pure black coffee liquid that is rich and fragrant, with golden foam floating on it. Maybe we rarely see it on the menu of coffee shops, but it is involved in daily American dishes, latte, and cappuccino. It can be said to be the soul of coffee shops. When making hot latte, Front Street will add espresso liquid to the preheated coffee cup, and then use an espresso machine to steam the milk. The temperature of the milk is best controlled at 55-65°C to form dense and moderately thick milk foam, which will then evenly blend with the coffee liquid. The final latte art is the icing on the cake.

Front Street’s hot latte has the sweet aroma of liqueur-filled chocolate and is creamy and smooth. The iced latte on Front Street will first be filled with 75 grams of ice cubes + 25 ml of fresh milk, and then 40 grams of coffee liquid will be extracted and poured on the surface. Customers are reminded to stir thoroughly before drinking.
When it comes to iced latte, Front Street must talk about Dirty coffee, also known as "dirty coffee", which has emerged since 2019. Pour high-temperature espresso on top of the frozen milk, forming obvious layers, and the concentrated liquid sinks along the edge of the cup, giving people a "dirty" feeling. Generally speaking, the cup size of dirty coffee is smaller than that of iced latte. Dirty coffee usually needs to be drunk immediately to enjoy the special taste of "alternating hot and cold".

Below are the detailed step-by-step illustrations on how to make iced latte and dirty prepared by Front Street. You can refer to making them at home.
How to make iced latte:
Step 1: Take out a cup with a capacity of about 300ml.
Step 2: Add 80g of ice and pour 170ml of milk.

Step 3: Grind 20g of coffee powder and extract a 38ml coffee concentrate. (The data is adjusted based on the current equipment and the status of the coffee beans on the day~)

Step 4: Pour the concentrate into a cup filled with ice and milk.

Step 5: Stir evenly and drink! !

How to make Drity (dirty coffee):
Preparation before making: You need to put the cup to be used in the refrigerator to freeze, so that the cup itself is frozen at low temperature; because Drity is about hot and cold layers, you need to perform the following steps in a row to achieve the best results!
Step one: Prepare a cup that has been frozen in the refrigerator in advance.

Step 2: Pour 180ml of ice milk.
Step 3: Grind a portion of coffee powder, fill it into the powder bowl and compact it for later use

Step 4: When extracting coffee concentrate, place the cup under the brewing head so that the concentrate can completely float on the surface of the ice milk!

Step 5: When the concentrated extraction is complete, you can drink it! (If you take a slightly bigger mouthful, you can better feel the level of Drity!)
