Tips for brewing ear-mounted coffee|How to brew delicious black coffee with filter coffee? How to brew coffee pods correctly? Recommended flavor of hanging ear coffee

Recently, a friend asked me how to make coffee with hanging ear cups. Is there anything particular about it? This is the right person to ask this question. As someone who has brewed ear-mounted coffee as instant coffee, I will teach you the ultimate secret of brewing ear-mounted coffee!

Let’s talk about hanging ear coffee first!

Hanging ear coffeeIt is a filter bag with a hanging paper card and coffee powder wrapped inside. The coffee powder here is ground coffee beans, not instant coffee. It has grounds and is not completely soluble in water. Therefore, it is not a wise choice to open the ear-mounting bag and pour it into hot water, because this will lose the function of the ear-mounting and your mouth will be full of coffee grounds.

Therefore, the correct approach should be to tear the opening on the top along the Open line, then open the small ear-hanging card and stick it on the mouth of the cup.

The secret of wearing earphones - keep everything simple

First of all, those who choose to drink hanging ear coffee are not too fond of the taste of instant coffee. Both types of coffee have convenient attributes, but the coffee flavors are obviously different. The hanging ear is more like a simple Pour over(V60) coffee. Their brewing methods are basically the same, and the flavors brewed from the same coffee beans are basically similar.

So when you are making ear-mounted coffee, of course you can also copy the ritual model of Pour over(V60) coffee: a slender gooseneck hand-pour pot, an electronic scale accurate to 0.01g, and a beautiful glass pot. Tear open the ear-mounted bag, hang it elegantly on the glass pot, and then use the skillful circular water filling method to steam and fill it with water.

But if you just want to simply taste a cup of delicious drip coffee, hanging ear coffee bags can also help you do it easily, especially for minimalist friends who are away from home.

Hanging ear coffeeThe most important thing is simplicity. The coffee filter belt with "ears" replaces the filter cup and filter paper. The pre-ground coffee powder saves you the trouble of a grinder. The only thing you need to do is pour water into the filter bag and wait for clean, black coffee to filter out.

Some friends may also ask, do you need to go in a circle when filling water, do you need to pause, or do you need to steam? The requirements for water filling are not as strict as for hand brewing. There are two main reasons. First, the filter cup for hand brewing is conical, wide at the top and narrow at the bottom. Water filling in circles is also for uniform extraction. The upper and lower widths of the hanging ear coffee bags are basically the same, and the opening is relatively small, so filling water in circles does not make much sense.

Moreover, the water-filling utensils for brewing ear-mounted coffee are not limited to slender goose-neck hand-pour pots. To take a step back, any utensil that can pour water can be used, such as ordinary hot water kettles and ordinary thermos flasks.

Why are techniques and techniques of little significance to ear-hanging bags? This is because ear-hanging bags focus on simplicity, sacrificing the freshness of coffee and the operability of brewing techniques. Therefore, for the same type of beans, the flavor of ear-hanging bags will not be higher than that of hand brewing. So the only thing we can do is to use the simplest method to brew the flavor of coffee. There is no need to compare with brewing by hand.

The only thing you need to pay attention to when brewing ear-mounted coffee is the water temperature and the amount of water. Water temperature is a factor that must be paid attention to when brewing any coffee. Many white-collar workers are accustomed to using water heated by a water dispenser when brewing ear-mounted coffee. The temperature heated by most water dispensers will not be higher than 75 degrees Celsius, so directly using hot water from a water dispenser to brew ear-mounted coffee will taste weak and tasteless. Front Street recommends that the temperature for flushing the earphones should be within 88-91 degrees Celsius.

How much water needs to be injected? The specification of a standard ear-hung coffee bag is 10g. We only need to inject 120ml-150ml of water. Of course, if we pursue a simple brewing method, we must also liberate the electronic scale. As a cup of coffee for personal consumption, the hanging ear bag is usually hung directly on your own mug and brewed. Therefore, you can remember the water line at 150ml on the mug, and when the coffee drips to about 150ml, pull out the ear hanging bag.

There is another method. Here is an operation demonstration for your reference:

The utensils used are also very simple, just a pack of ear-hanging coffee pods, a tall cup, and a thermos cup filled with hot water boiled in the morning. The purpose of using a tall cup is to prevent the water from soaking the coffee powder continuously, resulting in a bitter taste.

①First tear open the coffee bag with hanging ears and hang it on the cup.

② Open the thermos cup, pour the first section of hot water into the middle of the ear filter bag, fill it to 1/2 of the entire filter bag, and wait for 15 seconds.

③In the second section, continue pouring hot water until the entire filter bag is 90% full, and stop filling at the approximate position where the small card strip on the top of the filter bag is touched.

④After all the coffee liquid flows into the cup, continue pouring hot water into the third section until the entire filter bag is 90% full and stop filling.

⑤After all the coffee liquid flows into the cup, continue pouring hot water into the fourth section until the filter bag is 90% full. After the coffee liquid flows into the cup, you can remove the ear-mounted filter bag.

⑥ There are 4 stages of water injection in total. The first stage is filled to 1/2, and the remaining three stages are filled to 9 minutes after the coffee liquid has completely flowed out. Front Street has tested it several times. If water is injected in this way, the total amount of water injected is basically around 150ml.

In fact, brewing a cup of ear-mounted coffee really does not require complicated operations and equipment. With this simple and ordinary way, you can get a delicious cup of ear-mounted coffee.
